The "Quick"
and the "Canuck"
The return of Vancouver Canuck Daniel Sedin to the ice Wednesday
night was just what the team needed to find the answer to the question that is
goalie Jonathan Quick.
The Canucks struggled in their
first three games with Los Angeles
without the famed dynamic twin. With some miscues in the net and a team that
was playing a game of pond hockey rather than a Stanley Cup Playoff game. Adding
Cory Schneider to the pipes, gave added momentum to the floundering
Canucks. In Wednesday night's game, the
Canucks looked cohesive and were finishing their checks with power and force.
For the first time in their series against the Kings, they looked like the top
team in the League.
Schneider, who is a starting
goalie in any light, stood tall in the net allowing only one goal in 45 shots.
A constant flurry of shots didn't phase Schneids as the Kings were left dazed and
confused dropping 3-1 and forcing a game five.
Coach Alain Vinngeau needs to way
the odds of pulling a hot goalie in lieu of Lou. The big question on everyone's
mind is whether or not the winning will continue if Roberto steps back in the
net. While everyone is in agreement that Louongo will make his way back between
the pipes, there is some debate as to when.
The Vancouver Canucks are facing
a tough uphill battle to stay in the playoffs as they face the Los Angeles
Kings in game 5 on Sunday
