Today is not only Leap year day but it is also Anti-bullying Day!
Bullies have been around since the dawn of man. Even the Bible mentions them; David vs Goliath, Cain vs Abel etc. For centuries bullies have picked on, beat up, stole from, and made others cry. Now, through the magic of social media, bullies have stepped up their tactics to the point of forcing those being bullied into a corner that there is no escape from.
Cyber bullying has taken several lives over the last few years and it's time to put a stop to it. Bullies will stand down when stood up to. We, as a society have to stand up and say "We have had enough and we won't take it anymore". "Your days are numbered as a bully. We will win".
In honor of today being Anti-bullying day, people are encouraged to wear pink shirts to show their support.
If you have ever been pushed around by someone who thought they were 'bigger than you', 'smarter than you', 'more athletic than you'. Then stand up and be counted.
No more bullying period.
We all have the RIGHT to live on this earth. We all have the RIGHT to learn, laugh, love, marry, play. Most of all, we all have the RIGHT not to be afraid.
