Moon phases impact spells and magic just as they can impact daily life. Each phase of the moon can aid in the success of any ritual or incantation. Be conscious of when you are performing certain spells to get the optimum from them by using the moon phase in your favor. 

Full moons tend to bring out the oddities in humanity as well as in the animal kingdom. Conversing with the spirit world is clearer on a full or new moon. 

No two moon phases are the same so bear that in mind. Every month can bring new voices, visions and emotions via the phase of the moon.

Make sure when you build your altar that you have all the elements and guardians in order. Keep extra candles close by in case of emergency rituals. Must have for your altar: cloth, candles, smudge, athame, crystals, scrying tools and of course your book of shadows (spell book). If you have to tear down your altar after each use, keep everything together in a box or special location that you have easy access to.
