THE AVENGERS
Movie review
The Avengers Poster

Starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Samuel Jackson, Scarlet Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo

Grab your seats and popcorn because this one is a ride and a half. Marvel Comics comes alive in a big way in the Disney smash The Avengers. Stan Lee  (The God of Comics), delivers yet another blockbuster film for the millions of geeks everywhere!

Loki, the wonderful Ice step-son of Odin (played exquisitely by Tom Hiddleston) has a bad attitude and is taking it out on the human race of Earth. Thor (played once again by the hunky Chris Hemsworth), plans to handle his wayward brother on his own.

Thor is quickly enrolled into the 'Avengers Initiative'. A group of super heroes brought together to save the world from any threat.  Along with Captain America (played by the buff Chris Evans), Hulk (amazingly played by Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (sexy Scarlett Johansson) and the pompous, self absorbed tycoon Tony Stark. aka Iron Man (played by the incredible Robert Downey Jr).

Jeremy Renner plays Hawkeye (another super hero that falls under Loki's spell) and Mark Ruffalo playing the surprisingly sexy Dr Bruce Banner aka Hulk. Jeremy and Mark add a human level to the super heroes. Both troubled spirits who want nothing more than to be left alone. Mark Ruffalo makes the Hulk his own and brings him to life unlike previous portrayals of the massive green brute.

Recruited by Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson in a role that is perfect for him) and Agent Coulson(Clark Gregg) of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This two and half hour movie leaves you wanting more. Non stop action, thrills, tears and laughter make this movie a top draw.

If the cast doesn't get you, the story will. This is the movie of the year!

WRATH OF THE TITANS
movie review
Wrath of the Titans Poster

Starring Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Sam Worthington and Bill Nighy

The Kraken has been defeated by the head of Medusa held in the tight grip of Perseus, the bastard demi-god son of Zeus.

Hades, (played brilliantly by Fiennes) still holding a grudge towards his older brother, plans to unleash their father the Titan of all Titans Kronos. Together with Ares, they unleash havoc and mayhem on Perseus and his quest for Zeus. Poseidon's demi-god son seems an unlikely partner for Perseus. When faced with his fate, Agenor (played by Toby Kebbell)

Perseus (Sam Worthington) displays his brute strength along with his sharp mind and desire for peace with the Gods of Olympus.

A jam packed action film for the fans of Greek Mythology. Liam Neeson is stellar in his portrayal of the mighty Zeus. Amazing cinematography, excellent CGI (especially in the labyrinth).

A great sequel to Clash of The Titans.

I am beyond irate right now at the State of North Carolina and it's citizens. Not only did they take a gigantic leap back into the stone ages but they also made it so that a portion of the population are unable to marry. Why? Because they happen to be same sex. BIG FUCKING DEAL PEOPLE!

Other than in the 'bible', which is NOT law by the way, is there a reason for same sex not being able to marry.  Love is love right? RIGHT! That is the way it should be and must be in order to move forward in society.

By legislating it is 'unconstitutional' to marry same sex, the State of North Carolina has revealed its true red-necked homophobic core.

You would think that in the year 2012, humanity would have evolved enough to understand, accept and TOLERATE all different walks of life. No racism, no discrimination, no persecution. Unfortunately, we are far from that utopic ideal.

Finding that special person to fill the void in your heart is hard enough on it's own, but to tell people that it is wrong to love someone just because they are the same sex is utterly ridiculous. This shouldn't even be something that is debated in the courts. This is something for each individual to decide for themselves.

Are we (society) that afraid of change? Are we that small-minded that we cannot see the beauty in love in all it's forms?

It is time to stand up and fight for what is right, what is just and what is a HUMAN RIGHT.

DON'T TRY TO TELL ME WHO I CAN OR CANNOT LOVE, TRY IT YOU'LL LOSE.
